Estimator (Passive Fire Protection)

A specialist within the passive fire protection sector is looking to appoint an experienced Estimator to join their growing team in Nottinghamshire. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional with a background in fire doors and firestopping to join an established business delivering high-quality passive fire protection solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate cost estimates and quotations for fire door and firestopping projects.
• Review drawings, specifications, and project requirements to produce detailed tenders.
• Price materials, labour, and subcontractor costs.
• Work closely with project teams, suppliers, and clients to ensure commercial accuracy.
• Identify risks, opportunities, and value engineering solutions.
• Support contract handovers to ensure projects are delivered effectively.
• Maintain accurate estimating records and documentation.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as an Estimator within passive fire protection, fire doors, or a related construction environment.
• Strong understanding of fire door installation, remediation, and firestopping systems.
• Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and technical information.
• Strong commercial awareness with excellent attention to detail.
• Confident communication skills with the ability to liaise with clients and internal teams.

Package:

• Salary: £50,000 – £55,000
• Permanent position
