About the role

Our client is expanding their operations across the Midlands and is looking to appoint a Senior Estimator with proven experience in groundworks and civils. They are seeking a Senior Estimator with proven experience in residential groundwork estimating, who can confidently prepare accurate and competitive tenders. The role involves detailed take-offs, subcontractor package analysis, and close collaboration with project and commercial teams to support cost planning and risk management. This is a key position for an estimator ready to influence business growth and help secure profitable contracts within the residential sector.

About the requirements

• Demonstrable experience estimating residential groundworks packages including foundations, drainage, service trenches, and bulk earthworks
• Strong knowledge of groundworks construction methods, health and safety requirements, and subcontractor management
• Proficiency in take-off and estimating software (e.g. CostX, Buildsoft, or Excel-based tools)
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and tender documentation specific to residential developments
• Commercially focused with a proven ability to produce competitive bids under tight deadlines and work collaboratively within a commercial team
