Location: Bolton, BL7
Salary: £40,000–£50,000 DOE
Hours: Mon–Thu 8:30am–5:30pm | Fri 8:30am–4:30pm
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Right to Work: Full UK right to work required

We are seeking an experienced Construction Estimator to join a successful and growing business in Bolton. This role is ideal for someone with strong construction knowledge who enjoys interpreting drawings, understanding project requirements and producing accurate, commercially sound quotations.

You will take ownership of enquiries from initial review and triage through estimating, quotation and handover, working closely with Sales, Design, Operations, Logistics, suppliers and customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and triage enquiries, drawings, specifications and project information.
• Interpret 2D and 3D CAD drawings and extract quantities, materials and measurements.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates and competitive quotations.
• Calculate labour, materials and associated project costs.
• Obtain and assess supplier quotations and support procurement.
• Identify discrepancies, risks, omissions and missing information.
• Raise queries and challenge assumptions using commercial judgement.
• Monitor project profitability and carry out Cost Value Reconciliation (CVR).
• Support contract reviews and ensure accurate project handovers.
• Maintain estimating records and contribute to improving processes and systems.

About You:
You will have previous estimating experience within construction or a related technical environment, with strong numerical, analytical and commercial skills. You should be confident reading construction drawings and specifications, managing multiple deadlines and communicating with suppliers and internal teams.

Experience in quantity surveying, civil engineering, construction materials, manufacturing, procurement, contract administration or CVR would be advantageous.
