Estimator / Junior Estimator

Our client is a well-established and growing roofing and cladding contractor, delivering high-quality projects across the commercial and industrial sectors throughout the UK.

Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of work, they are looking to recruit an Estimator to join their expanding team.

Junior Estimators or candidates looking to develop a long-term career within the construction industry will also be considered.

• Preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates and tender submissions
• Reviewing drawings, specifications, and tender documentation
• Carrying out take-offs and measurements from drawings
• Obtaining and analysing quotations from suppliers and subcontractors
• Assisting in the preparation of project budgets and cost plans
• Liaising with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal departments
• Supporting the commercial and project teams throughout the tender process
• Ensuring submissions are completed accurately and within deadlines
• Identifying value engineering opportunities where appropriate

• Previous estimating experience within roofing, cladding, construction, or a related industry would be advantageous
• Junior candidates with construction knowledge and a willingness to learn will also be considered
• Strong numerical, analytical, and organisational skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office packages
• Knowledge of estimating software would be beneficial but not essential
