As a specialist contractor they primarily focus on refurbishment and restoration projects in the Heritage and listed building sectors. Responsibilities of the Estimator: Attend project meetings with the Surveying and Commercial Teams. Check quotations and obtain alternative quotes and/or negotiate costs with Sub-contractors via the Commercial Team. Breakdown specification and pricing documents into Sub-contract packages. Continuously develop new business opportunities and client relationships. Produce accurate estimates that are detailed and inputted into the estimating system currently in use. Work as part of a team whilst at the same time work unsupervised, prioritising workload through effective communication with all the team members.
