Estimator Location: Plymouth, Devon Salary: Up to 50,000 per annum (DOE) Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time Key Responsibilities Review tender documentation, specifications, drawings, and project requirements. Prepare detailed cost estimates and pricing schedules for commercial construction projects. Obtain and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations. Carry out quantity take-offs and cost analysis. Identify risks, opportunities, and value engineering solutions. Liaise with clients, consultants, suppliers, and internal teams throughout the tender process. Assist in the preparation and submission of tender documents. Maintain accurate records of estimates, costs, and pricing data. Support project handovers to operational teams upon successful tender awards. Monitor market trends, material costs, and labour rates. Requirements Previous experience as an Estimator within the construction industry. Strong experience working on commercial property projects. Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications. Excellent numerical and analytical skills. Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail. Proficient in Microsoft Office and estimating software. Excellent communication and organisational skills. Full UK Driving Licence. Desirable HNC/HND or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline. Experience pricing refurbishment, fit-out, and new-build commercial projects.
