Estimator

Our client, a well-established and fast-growing principal contractor, is seeking an experienced Estimator with a strong background in refurbishment and fit-out projects to join their dynamic commercial team. With a solid reputation for delivering high-quality work across the commercial, retail, healthcare, and education sectors, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking company at an exciting stage of its growth.

As an Estimator, you will play a pivotal role in the tendering process-analysing drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare accurate cost estimates. You will work closely with the pre-construction and delivery teams to ensure a thorough understanding of project requirements and deliver competitive, winning tenders.

• Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for refurbishment and fit-out projects (typically -250k - -5m+).

• Analyse tender documents, drawings, and specifications.

• Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotes.

• Attend site visits and client meetings as required.

• Work closely with the commercial and operational teams to develop winning strategies.

• Identify and manage project risks and opportunities.

• Support in handover to the delivery team post-tender award.

• Proven experience as an Estimator within a principal contractor environment.

• Strong background in refurbishment and fit-out projects.

• Excellent analytical, numerical, and commercial skills.

• Proficient in estimating software (e.g. Conquest, Causeway, Excel).

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tenders simultaneously.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
