My client a leader in their field have an opportunity for an Estimator to join their expanding operations on a permanent basis.
The Role:
As an Estimator, you''ll be responsible for preparing accurate quotations, tenders, and costings for scaffolding projects. You will work closely with clients, contractors, and both our Commercial and our Operations departments to ensure competitive and profitable pricing while maintaining high standards of compliance and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed and accurate estimates for scaffolding projects of varying size and complexity.
- Review drawings, specifications, and site information to assess requirements.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and suppliers to gather essential project information.
- Submit tenders and quotations within deadlines.
- Monitor market rates and competitor activity to ensure competitive pricing.
- Assist with project handover to operations, ensuring smooth transition from tender to delivery.
- Maintain accurate records of tenders, enquiries, and outcomes.
Skills & Experience:
- Previous experience as an Estimator in scaffolding or a related construction trade.
- Strong knowledge of scaffolding systems, materials, and industry regulations.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, plans, and specifications.
- Excellent numeracy, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Confident communicator with good negotiation skills.
- IT literate, with strong MS Excel skills (estimating software experience desirable).
- Experience with Smart Scaff software an advantage
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple tenders simultaneously.
