Job Title: Estimator Civil EngineeringLocation: GlasgowJob Type: Full-time, PermanentSalary: £65,000 £75,000 (depending on experience)Our client, a leading civil engineering contractor specialising in civil, rail, and energy projects, is seeking an experienced Estimator to join their team in Glasgow on a permanent basis. The role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of projects across Scotland, with occasional site travel as required.The ideal candidate will have experience working with a civil engineering contractor and a strong background in estimating within the civil, rail, or energy sectors. You will be confident pricing from first principles and collaborating within an established estimating team.Key ResponsibilitiesTendering: Identify and assess relevant tender opportunities.Analyse tender documentation and prepare accurate cost estimates.Produce detailed quotations and tender submissions. Estimating and Documentation: Collect and analyse project information to prepare Bills of Quantities.Maintain records of tender submissions and monitor outcomes. Post-Award: Support the smooth handover of awarded projects to delivery teams.Assist with document control and administrative tasks within the estimating function. RequirementsExperience: Minimum of 3 years experience in the construction industry, ideally within estimating, procurement, civil engineering, or quantity surveying.Previous experience in civil and renewable energy projects is advantageous.
