      <description>Location: Kirkintilloch | Salary: Negotiable | Type: Permanent | I''m currently working with a well-established main contractor, based in Glasgow, to source an experienced Estimator. This contractor delivers a diverse portfolio of projects across commercial, education, community and healthcare sectors. Project values can range from £500k to £10m, but typically sit between £2m to £4m.  Relationship-driven contractor with a strong pipeline of both competitively tendered and negotiated projects. They are selective about what they tender, focusing on quality over quantity. You would typically be responsible for 3–4 tenders per month, allowing time to properly interrogate costs and engage meaningfully with the supply chain. While commercially astute, they favour sitting down with subcontractors to reach fair agreements rather than adopting a heavily contractual or adversarial approach.
