Are you an experienced Estimator looking for a permanent opportunity with a respected regional main contractor delivering varied construction projects across the Yorkshire region?My client is looking to appoint an Estimator to join them on a permanent basis. They are an established and well-respected main contractor, operating regionally and delivering projects for clients across the Commercial, Health, Education and Industrial sectors.As Estimator, you will lead the commercial and contractual aspects of bid submissions, ensuring each bid is commercially robust and handed over clearly to the delivery team.The role will cover single-stage competitive tenders, two-stage tender design and build projects, and fully negotiated design and build development schemes.This means you will need a strong track record across a broad range of construction projects, with the confidence to manage cost planning, risk, procurement strategy, value engineering and tender clarification from start to finish.Key Responsibilities Develop a detailed understanding of the client requirements and contractual obligations for each opportunity.Implementing all business systems and process, develop a robust commercial strategy for each project, covering matters such as subcontractor procurement, risk management, opportunity identification, main contract and sub-contract selection, contract and design derogations, value engineering and value for money compliance.Undertake high level cost planning relative to ..... full job details .....
