Estimator Civil Engineering Location: Ruthin, North Wales Job Type: Full-time, Permanent The Role We are seeking an Estimator to join an established civil engineering business, preparing estimates and tender submissions for a varied portfolio of infrastructure and civil engineering projects. Based primarily at the company''s head office in Ruthin, with occasional site visits as required, you will work closely with the Lead Estimator and wider pre-construction team to develop accurate, competitive and commercially robust tenders. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Estimator or someone with a background in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or Civil Engineering who is looking to develop their estimating skills and progress their career within a supportive environment. Key Responsibilities Review tender documentation, drawings, specifications and contract requirements. Prepare detailed, resource-based estimates for civil engineering projects. Complete quantity take-offs and prepare bills of quantities. Obtain, review and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations. Identify commercial risks, opportunities and potential cost savings. Develop accurate and competitive tender submissions within required deadlines. Liaise with internal teams, suppliers and subcontractors throughout the tender process.
