Estimator - Civil Engineering and Water North Yorkshire 50,000 - 70,000 + package, depending on experience An established utilities contractor who are looking to strengthen their commercial team with an experienced Estimator based from their Knaresborough office. The business has a strong pipeline of work across the water sector and is heavily involved in AMP8 schemes, so this is a great opportunity for an Estimator with a background in water, utilities or civil engineering to join a growing team and work on a range of live and upcoming projects. As Estimator, you''ll be responsible for preparing accurate and commercially competitive tenders across a range of predominantly water-based contracts. You''ll work closely with the commercial, operational and delivery teams to understand project requirements, develop costs and ensure tenders are submitted accurately and on time. Your responsibilities will include:Preparing detailed estimates and tenders for water and civil engineering projectsReviewing drawings, specifications, scopes of work and tender documentationCarrying out detailed take-offs and producing accurate cost estimatesPricing labour, plant, materials and subcontract packagesObtaining and assessing supplier and subcontractor quotationsIdentifying risks, opportunities and potential commercial issuesWorking closely with the commercial and operational teams throughout the tender processSupporting the preparation of tender submissionsMaintaining estimating records and ..... full job details .....
