Are you an experienced Estimator looking for your next move in a forward-thinking organisation? We’re working with a leading name in the built environment who are looking to strengthen their commercial team with the addition of an Estimator based in Seaham, Durham.

This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in securing and delivering a diverse pipeline of construction projects, working closely with operational, design, and commercial teams.

The Role

As an Estimator, you’ll be responsible for producing accurate, competitive cost estimates that support successful tender submissions and project delivery.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Producing detailed cost estimates across labour, materials, plant, and overheads
• Reviewing drawings, specifications, and tender documents to identify risks and requirements
• Liaising with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing
• Working collaboratively with internal teams to ensure technical and programme alignment
• Identifying cost risks, contingencies, and value engineering opportunities
• Supporting tender presentations and post-tender negotiations
• Maintaining cost databases and benchmarking tools
• Contributing to tender review meetings with senior stakeholders

About You

We’re looking for someone who can bring both technical expertise and commercial awareness to the role.

• Construction-related qualification (HNC/HND, Degree, or equivalent experience)
• Proven experience in an estimating role within construction or the built environment
• Strong numerical and analytical skills
• Proficiency in Excel and estimating software
• Good understanding of construction methods and costs
• Strong communication skills
