Estimator / Assistant Quantity Surveyor

Our client is a well-established, family-oriented plumbing and building services contractor specialising in refurbishment projects across commercial and residential sectors.Their work typically involves full strip-outs and reinstatement packages, including screeding, plasterboarding, and associated MandE elements, with project values generally ranging from 2.5m to 3.5m.As a small/medium and hands-on business, they are now looking to appoint an Assistant Quantity Surveyor / Estimator to support the commercial function and help bridge a key gap within the team.The OpportunityThis is a varied and highly practical role working closely with the Senior team, who is currently heavily involved in pricing and tendering. The successful candidate will take ownership of day-to-day estimating duties while also supporting procurement and commercial administration.The position will suit someone who is confident working independently within an SME environment and understands the pace and flexibility required in a smaller contractor setting.This is not a Tier 1 environment-our client is specifically looking for someone from a similar-sized contractor who is comfortable being hands-on and adaptable across multiple responsibilities.Key ResponsibilitiesTake responsibility for day-to-day estimating and tender pricing supportAssist with preparation and submission of competitive tenders for refurbishment projectsSupport procurement activity, including raising orders and assisting with buying ..... full job details .....
