Estimating Team Lead/Manager (Fire Door Manufacturing)

An established and growing specialist within the fire door sector is looking to appoint an experienced Estimating Team Lead/Manager to head up its estimating function. This is an excellent opportunity for a senior estimator or existing estimating manager looking to play a key role in developing a high-performing team while remaining involved in technically challenging tenders. You''ll lead the estimating process from enquiry through to handover, ensuring quotations are accurate, commercially competitive and technically compliant, while supporting the continued growth of the business. Reporting into the senior leadership team, you will be responsible for leading the estimating department, overseeing tender submissions and driving continual improvements across estimating processes and team performance. Key responsibilities include: Lead and mentor a team of estimators, providing coaching, technical guidance and performance management Manage fire door tenders from initial enquiry through to submission and project handover Produce and review estimates using Schedule of Rates (SOR) pricing and first-principles estimating interpret drawings, specifications and tender documentation to develop accurate pricing solutions Review technical proposals to ensure commercially viable and compliant solutions Manage tender programmes, internal approvals and submission deadlines Identify commercial, contractual and technical risks within tenders Liaise with clients throughout the tender ..... full job details .....
