Key Responsibilities
Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging ESOL lessons to individuals or small groups
Assess learners'' needs and progress, adapting teaching methods accordingly
Support learners in developing speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills
Prepare learners for ESOL exams or progression into further education or employment
Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress, and achievements
Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
Requirements
CELTA, CertTESOL or Level 5 ESOL qualification (essential)
Experience teaching ESOL to adult learners (community, FE, or private sector experience welcomed)
Excellent communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills
Cultural sensitivity and a genuine passion for teaching and learner success
Ability to work independently and flexibly
Desirable
Experience working with refugees, asylum seekers, or migrant communities
Ability to deliver online lessons (via Zoom, Teams, etc.)
Multilingual or experience learning another language
