ESOL Tutor - Barnet

ABOUT THE ROLEProspero Teaching is looking for a qualified ESOL Tutor to deliver personalised, one-to-one English language support to young learners who are Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children. This role is ideal for an experienced ESOL teacher who wants to make a meaningful difference by providing engaging, supportive sessions that help students improve their English, rebuild their confidence, and re-engage with learning.These students have English as an additional language and will have missed significant schooling. You''ll plan and deliver bespoke lessons that meet their language needs while fostering a positive, structured learning experience.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESDeliver tailored ESOL sessions on a 1:1 basis within the student''s home or out in the community (library or learning hub)Create engaging lesson plans that support language acquisition and confidence-buildingTrack student progress and adapt teaching methods as neededWork closely with the Prospero Teaching team to ensure effective support is in placeROLE DETAILSLocation: Barnet and surrounding areasHours: Flexible - from 1 to 2 hours per session; part-time and full-time options availablePay rate: Up to 30 per hourREQUIREMENTSRecognised ESOL teaching qualification (e.g. CELTA, TESOL, or equivalent)Minimum 6 months experience teaching ESOL in a UK settingConfident working independently and managing personalised learning plansA valid enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for oneRight to work in ..... full job details .....
