We are looking to hire an Associate, based in London, to:Join the highly ranked European Insurance team working with our senior analysts to help write world-class thematic, sector and company researchWork with a team of analysts responsible for coverage of life and non-life Insurance companiesBuild, develop and maintain comprehensive financial modelsCultivate strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholdersPerform value-add analysis and interpret data on market and economic events to identify and describe trendsPrepare pre and post-results updates on your covered companiesAttend and report on corporate events, roadshows, company presentations and conferencesManage client requests and take ownership of workflowYou Are
Intellectually curious and passionate about financial marketsGenuine interest in insurance companies, the broader insurance industry and related trendsAn excellent communicator, with strong verbal and written skillsA team-player who enjoys knowledge sharing and collaborating with your colleaguesResourceful, a self-starter who enjoys taking initiative to deliver results with exceptional attention to detailSkills Required (essential)
Experience in either an actuarial consultancy firm, industry, sell-side, investment banking or buy-side.Qualified FIA, or ACA with exposure to Insurance companies and/or experience as an actuaryLife insurance focus; preferably experience with UK Life assurers. Accounting (ACA) qualification would be acceptable if has had experience with UK Life assurers or Investor Relations.A top-class undergraduate degree, or international equivalent, from a leading universityProven experience of financial modelling or evaluating companiesWhat You Can Expect From Morgan Stanley
