The successful tutor will have experience supporting young people who are unable to access mainstream education and be confident adapting their teaching style, pace and resources to meet individual needs. Experience working with SEND and/or SEMH learners would be highly desirable. The role will focus on rebuilding confidence and engagement with education while supporting the learner''s academic progress. A strong ability to build positive relationships, understand individual barriers to learning and provide a calm, consistent and flexible approach will be essential. Experience supporting young people with anxiety, school avoidance, disengagement or challenging behaviour would be particularly beneficial. This is an in-person tutoring role and is not online work.
