The successful candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Envoy Proxy or Envoy Gateway, API security, cloud-native engineering and modern DevOps tooling. Banking or financial services experience is essential. Key Skills andamp; Experience Required Strong programming experience in Golang and/or Java Practical, hands-on cloud-native engineering experience Professional experience with Envoy Proxy and/or Envoy Gateway Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and the OpenAPI Specification (OAS) Hands-on experience implementing authentication and authorisation at API gateway level Strong experience with: OAuth 2.0 OpenID Connect (OIDC) JWT validation Mutual TLS (mTLS) Strong DevOps experience, including: CI/CD Kubernetes Terraform This is a hands-on engineering opportunity within a major banking environment, ideal for an experienced API Engineer with strong Envoy and cloud-native expertise.
