Environmental Protection Officer

Sharper is working with our local authority client in the South West. They need an experienced Officer to join their Environmental Protection team-and-take ownership of a live statutory nuisance and noise caseload. Minimal hand-holding, maximum autonomy.

What you''ll be doing:

• Managing your own statutory nuisance caseload
• Noise investigation, monitoring and acoustics assessment
• Evidence gathering and case preparation for enforcement action
• Proportionate, confident regulatory decision-making

What you''ll need:

• Strong local authority EP background
• Practical, hands-on EPA 1990 experience
• A CIEH-accredited qualification (preferred)
• The confidence to work independently from day one

What you''ll get:

• 6 months, up to 37 hrs/week
• 3 days/week on site
• Mileage reimbursed
• Rate: Inside IR35 -4250 per hour depending on experience
• Starting ASAP
