Seasonal Highway Maintenance Operatives – 6 Positions Available

20-week contract · Start Monday · North Tyneside

We are recruiting 6 seasonal operatives for a 20-week contract carrying out environmental and highway maintenance work across the North Tyneside area.

Location and meeting point

• Work will take place throughout North Tyneside.
• Killingworth will be the meeting point before each shift.

Duties include:

• Seasonal leaf fall clearance.
• Fly-tipping removal.
• Carriageway cleaning and maintenance.
• Litter picking.
• General environmental and highway maintenance.

Working hours:

• Standard shift: 7:30 am – 4:00 pm.
• Short shift: 7:30 am – 12:30 pm.
• Some night work may be required, particularly for A19 works involving planned road closures.

Essential requirements:

• Full, valid driving licence- there are some positions where we can take non-drivers but these are minimal due to nature of work
• Flexibility to work occasional night shifts when required.
• Availability to start on Monday.

Contract duration: 20 weeks.
