Environmental Health Officer- Housing

We are currently recruiting for a Environmental Health Officer- Housing for our client based in Haringey. The Environmental Health Officer- Housing will be responsible for investigating complaints, carrying out inspections and taking appropriate enforcement action to ensure privately rented properties meet statutory housing standards. The role will contribute to improving living conditions for residents in the private rented sector by identifying hazards, investigating non-compliance and working with landlords and tenants to achieve appropriate remedial action. Key Responsibilities for Environmental Health Officer- Housing: Carry out Private Sector Housing and Public Health inspections and visits, including investigations relating to: Poor housing conditions, Poor housing conditions, Pest control, Draining, Housing-related nuisance, Licensing conditions and other environmental and public health concerns Investigate complaints relating to poor property conditions, hazards and housing-related nuisance within the private rented sector. Inspect properties and gather accurate information and evidence to identify housing hazards and risks. Assess the nature, severity and urgency of housing hazards and determine the appropriate action required to remedy identified problems.
