Environmental cleansing officer

Environmental cleansing officer required to work on a 1-year contract with a public sector organisation. This role supports a cleaner, safer area by maintaining public spaces, responding to environmental concerns, and engaging with the community to promote environmental responsibility.

Contract type: Agency for 1 year

Hours: 37 hours per week

Location: Based in Swindon

Pay rate: -14.10

Main duties - Routine cleansing of public areas - including litter picking and fly-tip clearing, respond swiftly to environmental complaints and requests, support enforcement officers with reporting environmental offences, promote clean and safe public spaces.

What skills and experience we are looking for:

• Full UK driving licence
  * Experience working in a cleansing or waste/environmental services role
  * Be comfortable working outdoors in adverse weather conditions
  * Have good communication skills and the ability to engage with the public
  * Able to work independently and as part of a team
  * A proactive and responsible approach to maintaining public areas
