The Environmental and Social Risk Management (ESRM) Vice President role for UK/EU is part of Citi’s Global Environmental and Social Risk Management team within Citi’s Sustainability and ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) organization. The ESRM team reviews client activities in industries and transactions with potential environmental and/or social risks (e.g., oil and gas, mining, power, infrastructure, transportation, and agribusiness) and implements the Citi Environmental and Social Risk Policy Framework.

The Vice President role will be based in the Citi London office and report to the Global Head of ESRM in Citi’s New York headquarters.

The role will work closely with Citi’s London-based Director of Sustainability for UK, Europe, Middle East and Africa to respond to regulatory inquiries regarding emerging regional expectations related to greenwashing, ESG and other environmental and social risk management factors.

ESRM operates within Citi’s Sustainability and ESG team, which is responsible for the development and execution of Citi’s Sustainable Progress Strategy, Net Zero Plan and related initiatives. The team manages environmental, climate change, human rights and other stakeholder and business issues in partnership with Citi''s businesses, risk functions and operational teams.
