Environmental and Permitting Engineer

Zenith People are working with our client who are looking to recruit an experienced Environmental and Permitting Engineering on a permanent basis to join a SHEQ Compliance team. This critical role will ensure that all environmental regulations and permitting requirements are met, supporting operations at an upper-tier COMAH establishment. Key Responsibilities As an Environmental and Permitting Engineer, you will: Manage Environmental Permitting and Compliance: Prepare and assess applications for EPR and PPC permits, ensuring all regulatory requirements are met. Support COMAH Compliance: Ensure adherence to environmental obligations related to being an upper-tier COMAH operator. Deliver Regulatory Requirements: Support ESOS compliance, carbon trading programs, and refine ISO 14001 systems. Develop and Implement Environmental Policies: Lead the implementation of EHS UK policies, ensuring best environmental management practices. Incident Management: Ensure all environmental accidents and incidents are documented, investigated, and improvements are tracked to completion. Occupational Hygiene Support: Work closely with Occupational Hygiene teams to maintain a safe working environment.
