Environmental and Industrial Waste OperativeA well-established engineering and plating facility near Heathrow Airport is seeking a practical and reliable Environmental and Industrial Waste Operative to support waste management, housekeeping, and environmental compliance within a busy Plating Shop environment.This is a hands-on permanent role, suited to someone who takes pride in maintaining high standards, working safely, and supporting operational efficiency across production and laboratory teams.Previous experience in an industrial, manufacturing or heavy engineering environment, with chemical handling experience could be suitable.Role: Environmental and Industrial Waste Operative Location: Near Heathrow Airport, West London Shift: Mon-Fri. 6:30am - 2:30pm Salary: 25,268 - 27,500 Candidate must hold unrestricted rights to live and work in the UK. No sponsorships can be provided, now or in the future.Main Responsibilities:Safely package, label, and transport hazardous and non-hazardous wastePrepare waste for collection and support external contractors on-siteMaintain high housekeeping (5S) standards across the plating shop, pits, and treatment areasClean plating tanks, equipment, and surrounding areas to prevent residue build-upSupport effluent treatment and waste systems upkeepOperate jet-wash equipment for routine servicingCarry out basic mechanical tasks to support plant maintenanceMonitor and test equipment alarms where requiredInspect and maintain grit blast and shot ..... full job details .....
