Environmental Advisor (Rail)

Our client, a prominent organisation within the rail sector, is currently seeking an Environmental Advisor to join their team based in Manchester. This is a long-term contract opportunity, inside IR35, requiring expertise in environmental management and a robust understanding of HSQE principles for a substantial rail infrastructure project.Key Responsibilities:Provide subject matter expertise to guide and improve environmental performanceEnsure compliance with relevant standards and client expectationsImplement and maintain the Integrated Management System (IMS)Collaborate closely with construction teams to ensure adherence to environmental practicesConduct environmental risk assessments and auditsDeliver training and awareness programmes on environmental issuesMonitor and report on environmental performanceEngage with stakeholders to promote sustainability initiativesJob Requirements:Experience in environmental management within rail or construction projectsStrong understanding of HSQE principlesKnowledge of ISO14001 Environmental Management SystemsExperience in implementing and maintaining environmental practicesRelevant environmental qualifications (e.g., ISO14001 Auditor)PTS/Sentinel qualification is desirableExcellent communication and team collaboration skillsStrong problem-solving and organisational abilitiesBenefits:Long-term contract opportunityChance to work on a large rail infrastructure projectEngage in continuous professional developmentCollaborative and dynamic ..... full job details .....
