Environmental Advisor

OLG Recruitment are currently looking or an Interim Environmental Advisor for our clint located in Stallingborough. This is a temporary opportunity for 3 months cover.

As the Environmental Advisor you will be required to support day to day environmental compliance and assurance activities at the site. Following the changes within the SHE site, interim support is required to maintain essential environmental compliance, assurance, reporting and improvement activities. You will also support a new permanent Senior Environmental Advisor, providing familiarisation and knowledge transfer. In addition, you will work alongside and support the site Environmental Technician with day-to-day environmental duties.

Key Responsibilities

• Internal environmental and legal compliance audits, including action close-out
• Environmental data entry, purchase requests and service entry sheets
• ISO 14001 audit preparation and day to day environmental queries
• Onboarding support and knowledge transfer for the new member of the environmental team
• Supporting the environmental technician with day to day environmental duties
• Site inspections, environmental improvements and gap-analysis actions
• Weekly weighbridge ticket checks, waste audits and digital waste tracking reporting
• Where suitably experienced, UK ETS monitoring, data collation and reporting support
• Day to day environmental query resolution

Experience:

• Proven experience in an environmental advisor role, ideally within a regulated industrial or chemical manufacturing environment
• Experience of environmental permit compliance, internal and legal compliance auditing, and action close-out
• Working knowledge of waste management controls, waste audits.
• Experience supporting ISO 14001 environmental management systems and audit preparation
• Desirable: experience of UK ETS monitoring, data collation and reporting
• Able to start at short notice and become effective on site quickly, with strong communication and knowledge-transfer skills
