Environmental Advisor

Contract Environmental Advisor Water Sector Thames Valley £400-£450 per day We re working with a leading design and build contractor seeking an experienced Environmental Advisor to support the delivery of water sector projects across the Thames Valley region. This is a hands-on contract opportunity, supporting environmental compliance and working closely with site teams, clients and other stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle. Key Responsibilities Provide environmental advice and support to site and project teams. Support environmental planning and pre-construction activities. Identify and manage environmental risks, particularly around water contamination. Monitor compliance with environmental legislation and project requirements. Support waste management and environmental protection measures. Ensure appropriate consideration of Sites of Special Scientific Interest (SSSIs). Liaise with clients, contractors and other stakeholders to support effective project delivery. About You Experience in an Environmental Advisor or similar role within construction, infrastructure or utilities. Previous experience in the water sector, particularly environmental risks relating to water contamination. Knowledge of pre-construction environmental works. Site-based construction and waste management experience. Understanding of SSSI requirements. Strong communication and client-facing skills.
