Opportunity to shape best practice with a leading food manufacturer which has a strong focus on its environmental and sustainability responsibilities.The site benefits from excellent transport links and is easily accessible from Manchester, Bolton, Wigan, Preston, St Helens, and surrounding areas.They offer some great benefits as well as the option to work from home 1 day per week.About the Role:Reporting to the Environmental Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance and identifying opportunities to improve performance and site standards.Key responsibilities will include:Leading environmental compliance activities to promote best practice and ensure all regulatory and reporting requirements are met.Taking ownership of the site''s energy management systems, including ISO 50001.Analysing site performance data and providing recommendations to support business decisions.Coordinating audits and inspections.Delivering improvements in areas including energy usage and waste management.About You:Experience working in a compliance or sustainability role within a manufacturing business.Ideally educated to degree level in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Engineering or similar, or with equivalent experience.Proactive approach, able to identify opportunities to drive improvements.Demonstrable knowledge of environmental reporting and legislation.Experience ..... full job details .....
