This is not a monitoring role. Your day-to-day purpose is to assure that contractors are working to the environmental standards that govern the programme, to guide design teams on environmental constraints and solutions, and to identify issues early enough that they can be resolved without becoming problems.You will review and check assurance evidence as it moves through technical stage gates, and you will assess whether contractor designs and construction works are consistent with the applicable environmental minimum requirements, legislation and regulations. Where there are gaps or departures, you will communicate them clearly and work with the relevant parties to close them out.
