Health and Safety Manager
to lead health and safety operations at their Tonbridge site.Key ResponsibilitiesPolicy Implementation:
Develop, implement, and maintain health and safety policies, ensuring full compliance with UK standards and regulations.Safety Culture:
Promote and embed a culture of safety throughout the organisation by leading awareness campaigns and training initiatives.Audit Management:
Conduct internal audits and ensure all health and safety documentation and procedures are audit-ready.Incident Management:
Investigate workplace incidents, near-misses, and accidents to identify root causes and implement preventative measures.Training and Development:
Design and deliver comprehensive health and safety training for employees and leadership.Risk Assessments:
Perform regular risk assessments, proactively identifying potential hazards and implementing effective controls.Collaboration:
Work closely with internal teams, external agencies, and stakeholders to drive a high standard of health and safety performance.Budget Oversight:
Manage the health and safety budget effectively, ensuring resources are in place to support compliance and training programs.RequirementsQualifications:
NEBOSH or IOSH certification is strongly preferred.Experience:
A minimum of 5 years’ experience in health and safety management, ideally within the food, pharmaceutical, or chemical manufacturing sectors.Expertise:
Strong understanding of health and safety compliance, risk assessment, and safety management systems.Skills:
Excellent communication and leadership abilities, with a proven capacity to influence and collaborate at all levels.Tools:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with Lean, 5S, or Six Sigma methodologies is desirable.BenefitsSalary:
