Environment and Sustainability Specialist

A leading manufacturing business is seeking an experienced Environment & Sustainability Specialist to take ownership of environmental compliance, performance, and improvement at site level.

This is a hands-on, high-impact role for someone passionate about sustainability, regulatory compliance, and continuous environmental improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and develop the site''s Environmental Management System (EMS) to ISO 14001:2015
• Ensure regulatory compliance, manage licences/permits, and liaise with external authorities
• Define and deliver environmental objectives and sustainability initiatives
• Identify and manage environmental risks and opportunities
• Track and report on performance data and lead incident response
• Support cross-functional teams with technical expertise and best practice guidance
• Represent environment in site leadership reviews and internal/external audits

The successful candidate will: -

• Be experienced in an environmental role, gained within manufacturing
• Deep understanding of environmental legislation and ISO 14001
• Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and data analysis skills
• Ability to lead projects and influence sustainable change across teams
