Enterprise Data Architect - Hybrid - Newcastle - £85k - £100k + Bonus + Excellent BenefitsWe are seeking an experienced Enterprise Data Architect for a forward-thinking, regulated organisation with a strong footprint. You will shape the cloud-first data strategy and be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimising a scalable and secure data architecture that enables advanced analytics, supports regulatory reporting, and drives long-term business value.Responsibilities

Design and implement scalable, secure cloud-based data architecture (Azure and Databricks)Develop optimised data models and pipelines using Delta Lake and Azure servicesDefine data standards, policies, and governance practices aligned with complianceEnable real-time analytics and machine learning use cases across business functionsEnsure data integration across structured/unstructured sources with high availabilityLead innovation and adopt best practices in data engineering and architectureCollaborate with internal stakeholders and third-party vendorsKey Skills and Experience

Proven background designing and delivering enterprise-scale data platformsStrong knowledge of Microsoft Azure, Databricks, Delta Lake, and data warehousingAdvanced data modelling and ETL/ELT optimisation experienceFamiliarity with regulatory frameworks such as IFRS 17, BCBS 239, and UK Data ProtectionExcellent stakeholder communication and cross-functional collaboration skillsPrior experience in a regulated industry (e.g. insurance, financial services, healthcare) is desirableMicrosoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect ExpertMicrosoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer AssociateDatabricks Certified Data Engineer or Machine Learning AssociateBenefits
