Version 1 is seeking a highly accomplished and professional

Enterprise Architect

with strong client facing experience to join our multi-award-winning consultancy organisation. You will join a diverse team providing IT Strategy, AI advisory, development and support services for a range of Version 1s public and private sector customers.Role

You will have worked in an Enterprise Architecture role, engaging with technical and business stakeholders. Using your breadth of experience, you will lead in defining and delivering transformative programs for customers, including:Lead the definition and creation of innovative digital services for customersProvide technical guidance to our customers and to internal teams as we build digital and AI-centred services to meet the challenges of the next decadeDeliver transformation of IT practices to exploit modern best practices such as DevOps, DevSecOps, automation agents and generative AIDefine strategies to migrate, modernise and transform legacy systems onto modern architecturesProvide technical, sectoral and design leadership to a highly skilled and motivated expert technical teamWork with customer senior management and technology leaders assisting as they make critical decisions on technical directionLead business analysts and end-users to elicit requirements and assist in developing design specifications for short-, medium- and long-term future state architecturesDevelop effective logical, conceptual and physical designs in conjunction with the wider IT development and support teamPerform enterprise technology assessments to identify risks, issues and opportunitiesAssess customer application estates and define future roadmaps including cloud migration, modernisation, AI adoption and transformationDesign digital solutions with awareness of relevant standards and industry best practicesBe part of a motivated and dynamic advisory team with strong core values that drive the customerast successIdentify opportunities to add value to the customer in the management and delivery of its IT landscapeEvaluate and recommend external products and services that may meet customer requirementsIdentify technology trends through awareness of industry innovation, sectoral and geo-political factorsSupport business development teams in shaping opportunities and defining solutions for new customers, including responding to tenders and delivering client presentationsMaintain client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor to CIO and senior technology leaders across our client baseQualifications

One or more certifications in relevant architecture domains are desirable, or proven real-world architecture experience in these areas:Enterprise architecture – TOGAF preferredCloud architecture – Azure and/or AWSAI Architecture – Copilot, OpenAI, Azure AI, RAG Architecture

One or more certifications in project management, operations and IT delivery are desirable, such as:Service Management (e.g. ITIL)Project Management (e.g. PRINCE2)Agile (e.g. PSM or CSM Scrum Master)

One or more certifications demonstrating application or technical specialisms are desirable, such as:IT Security (e.g. CISSP, CEH, CCSP)ERP Systems (e.g. Oracle, SAP, Salesforce or MS Dynamics certifications)Product or application specialisms (e.g. O365, SharePoint, CRM, OT)

Technical Delivery Experience

Extensive solution design, development and delivery experience in diverse and complex environmentsDevelopment of IT and/or digital strategies including production of technology roadmaps and AI strategiesFamiliarity with Enterprise Architecture modelling (including UML) and experience in EA tools such as LeanIX, OrbusInfinity or ArdoqExcellent client-facing skills, including experience working with C-Suite level managers on high-profile IT design or delivery projectsSectoral Experience

You will have significant (5+ years) experience in at least one of the following sectors, with a deep understanding of both the technology landscape and market drivers in that sector:Health and Life Sciences (e.g. public and/or private health, pharmaceuticals)Banking and Capital Markets (e.g. fintech, investment banking, reinsurance)Local or Central Government (e.g. transport, education, welfare)Manufacturing and Retail (e.g. supply chain, operational technology, e-commerce)
