About The Role

The Enterprise Applications Engineer is an integral part of Latham’s Technology and Information Services team and will be responsible for researching, developing, implementing, and maintaining integrated software solutions that allow attorneys and staff to access firm resources from the office and remote locations , while leading project teams to research, evaluate, design, implement, and support complex enterprise applications, both on-premises and in the cloud. This role will be located in our Manchester office. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence.

Responsibilities and Qualifications

Other key responsibilities include:

Liaising with stakeholders and leaders of other business units to ensure that their needs are understood and metDesigning software solutions and integrations for all facets of an attorney’s work, including document generation, research, client billing, business development, and analysis and fact-finding, acting as a “subject matter expert” regarding these solutions to provide expert analysis of needs required for successful implementationsUtilising their technical creativity to identify and implement additional enhancements and new software solutions for our legal professionals and administrative departmentsInstalling, maintaining, and upgrading software for all users within the firm, and making recommendations to their manager regarding the setting of standards for firm software and desktop/notebook configurationsMonitoring and tuning supported platforms to ensure optimal performance and system availability

We’d love to hear from you if you:

Possess knowledge and proficiency in a wide variety of software programs, including Microsoft Windows Enterprise, Microsoft Windows Server, and Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook)Display knowledge of Microsoft SQL, PowerShell, Microsoft Dynamics, Lexis Nexis Interaction, Litera Foundation, and other third-party applications utilised in the legal industryDemonstrate knowledge and proficiency with the administration and maintenance of relational databases used by supported applicationsPossess knowledge of other legal industry applications, preferably

And have:

A bachelor’s degree or equivalent in computer science or related field, or appropriate work experienceExperience in the information technology professionExperience in a legal or professional services environment
