Enhanced Observation Health Care Assistant

A Band 3 Enhanced Observation Healthcare Assistant, Mental Health role is open at Ealing Hospital. This role is designed to provide assistance to patients requiring enhanced observation and who present with a diverse range of health issues. You will carry out practical tasks with patients, often on a one-on-one basis, under the supervision of qualified staff.

Responsibilities

Provide direct support to patients requiring enhanced observation, under the supervision of qualified staff.

Carry out practical tasks and assist with daily care as part of the patient’s care plan.

Support qualified staff in delivering patient-centred care and improving the patient experience.

Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the care team to ensure continuity of care.

Contribute to a safe and supportive care environment in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications and Skills

Experience as a Healthcare Assistant and/or Mental Health Support Worker at Band 3 level or equivalent.

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities; personable, flexible and motivated.

Ability to work in settings that require enhanced observation and to adapt to diverse patient needs.
