Vertias Education is seeking a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to join a welcoming secondary school in Burnley from September 2026.

The Role
- Deliver engaging English lessons across KS3 and KS4
- Plan, prepare and assess student work in line with curriculum requirements
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback
- Work effectively as part of a supportive department and wider school team
The Ideal Candidate
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience teaching English within a UK secondary school
- Strong classroom management skills
- Excellent subject knowledge and communication skills
- A genuine passion for raising student achievement
- An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
