English Teacher

Tradewind Recruitment are recruiting for a full time English teacher to work at an excellent school in Pocklington on a full time basis. This temporary vacancy will start January 6th and will last until at least February half term 2026, potentially until April 2026 depending on sick notes/length of illness. Full planning and marking expected for this role, so payment will be in line with the main teaching pay scale, scaling to a daily rate of 168.80 to 261.77 per day, depending on experience and qualifications. The school is located in between Hull and York, and is easily accessible from both Cities, especially via car. The school have just moved into a new school building with exceptional facilities. They are part of a small, local, academy trust, so success in this role could lead to future opportunities within exceptional trust schools.You will be responsible for teaching high quality English lessons, specifically to KS3 students, with some small amount of Key Stage 4 teaching. Candidates who have joint honors, or an English degree but have experience teaching other subjects, are more than welcomed to apply.
