Role Overview

This is a rare, extended contract starting immediately. The role is confirmed until July 2026, with a pre-approved extension through to December 2026, providing you with over 18 months of guaranteed placement.

Key Responsibilities

• Teaching & Learning: Deliver high-quality English Language and Literature lessons across KS3 and KS4.
• Curriculum Delivery: Plan and assess work in line with GCSE specifications to ensure maximum student progress.
• Classroom Management: Maintain a positive learning environment using the school''s established behaviour policies.
• Departmental Collaboration: Work as part of a vibrant English faculty to share resources and best practices.

Requirements

• Qualifications: Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised UK teaching qualification.
• Subject Knowledge: Strong command of the English curriculum at Secondary level.
• Commitment: Ability to commit to the school for the full duration of the contract (through to Dec 2026).
• Compliance: A valid Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to process a new one).
