The Role
A secondary school in Solihull is seeking a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to join its English department from September 2026 on a supply basis.
The successful candidate will teach English Language and English Literature, delivering engaging and well-structured lessons that develop students’ reading, writing, communication, and analytical skills. You will inspire students to engage with a wide range of texts while supporting them in making strong academic progress.
You will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality lessons, assessing student progress, providing constructive feedback, and creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment. You will maintain high expectations for behaviour and achievement while encouraging students to develop confidence, creativity, and a genuine appreciation of English.
The Candidate

  • Hold QTS or be an ECT
  • Have experience teaching English Language and English Literature
