Main Responsibilities
- Engage and Inspire: Deliver dynamic, student-centred lessons in reading, writing, speaking, and listening.
- Encourage Achievement: Support students in building confidence and reaching their academic and personal goals.
- Innovative Teaching: Incorporate creative methods, digital tools, and interactive activities to make learning enjoyable and effective.
- Monitor Progress: Regularly assess studentsandrsquo; work and provide clear, constructive feedback.
- Support and Inclusion: Offer additional help to those who need it and contribute to an inclusive, nurturing learning environment.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues and contribute to wider school life through clubs, events, and initiatives.
What We''re Looking For
- Qualified Teachers: UK QTS with a degree in English, Education, or a related subject. Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and unqualified teachers with relevant experience and enthusiasm are also encouraged to apply.
- Teaching Experience: Experience teaching English at secondary level is highly desirable. A background in both language and literature is a strong advantage.
- Excellent Communicator: Able to build strong relationships with students and staff, creating a supportive learning environment.
- Culturally Aware: Comfortable working in diverse settings and adapting teaching styles to suit different learning needs.
- Effective Classroom Management: Confident in maintaining a respectful and productive classroom.
- Curriculum Knowledge: Familiarity with the English national curriculum (GCSE, A-Level or equivalent) and the ability to tailor content to meet varied student needs.
