Are you a passionate and inspiring English Teacher ready to nurture a love of language and literature in young minds£ A welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Aylesbury, rated andlsquo;Goodandrsquo; by Ofsted, is looking for a dedicated English Teacher to join their team from September 2025. This role is open to both full-time and part-time applicants, offering flexibility to suit your circumstances.
Your Role: Deliver engaging and well-structured English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (with potential opportunities to teach KS5). Foster critical thinking, creativity, and a love for reading and writing. Contribute to the planning and development of an innovative and inclusive English curriculum. Use assessment effectively to track progress and support student achievement. Create a supportive and stimulating classroom environment that encourages all students to thrive. Support extracurricular activities such as reading clubs, creative writing workshops, and school productions. Collaborate with colleagues to drive progress and share best practice across the department.
What Weandrsquo;re Looking For: UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), or working towards it. A degree in English Language, English Literature, or a related subject. Excellent subject knowledge and a confident classroom presence. Ability to inspire and engage students of all abilities and backgrounds. Strong organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills. A commitment to professional development and reflective teaching practice.
