They are seeking a dedicated and inspiring English Teacher to join their successful English department from January 2026. This full-time, long-term position would suit both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) who are eager to grow in a forward-thinking, friendly school community.

The Role


As an English Teacher, you will deliver engaging lessons that ignite studentsandrsquo; enthusiasm for language and literature across Key Stages 3 and 4. You will play a key role in developing studentsandrsquo; analytical, reading, and writing skills, helping them build confidence and achieve excellent outcomes.

Main Responsibilities




  • Teach English Language and Literature across KS3andndash;KS4


  • Plan and deliver creative, differentiated lessons that inspire progress


  • Assess and provide feedback to support student achievement


  • Promote extracurricular opportunities such as reading clubs and competitions


  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the curriculum


  • Contribute to the positive ethos and wider life of the school


What Weandrsquo;re Looking For




  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (preferred)


  • Proven experience teaching English at secondary level


  • Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for literature and language


  • A reflective, student-centred approach to teaching


  • Excellent behaviour management and organisational skills


  • Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
