They are seeking a dedicated and inspiring English Teacher to join their successful English department from January 2026. This full-time, long-term position would suit both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) who are eager to grow in a forward-thinking, friendly school community.
The Role
As an English Teacher, you will deliver engaging lessons that ignite studentsandrsquo; enthusiasm for language and literature across Key Stages 3 and 4. You will play a key role in developing studentsandrsquo; analytical, reading, and writing skills, helping them build confidence and achieve excellent outcomes.
Main Responsibilities
Teach English Language and Literature across KS3andndash;KS4
Plan and deliver creative, differentiated lessons that inspire progress
Assess and provide feedback to support student achievement
Promote extracurricular opportunities such as reading clubs and competitions
Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the curriculum
Contribute to the positive ethos and wider life of the school
What Weandrsquo;re Looking For
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (preferred)
Proven experience teaching English at secondary level
Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for literature and language
A reflective, student-centred approach to teaching
Excellent behaviour management and organisational skills
Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
