Key Responsibilities:
- Deliverandnbsp;engaging and well-structured English lessonsandnbsp;acrossandnbsp;Key Stages 3 and 4andnbsp;(KS5 experience is a bonus).
- Create a classroom environment where students feelandnbsp;safe to express themselves, explore ideas, andandnbsp;develop a love for literature.
- Useandnbsp;formative and summative assessmentandnbsp;to track progress and provideandnbsp;constructive feedbackandnbsp;andmdash; no red pen rage here!
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to aandnbsp;creative and cohesive English department.
- Encourage students toandnbsp;read between the lines, think critically, andandnbsp;develop strong communication skills.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Holdsandnbsp;Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)andnbsp;and has experience teachingandnbsp;English at secondary level (desirable but not essential)
- A trueandnbsp;grammar guruandnbsp;with a knack for making Shakespeare sparkle and punctuation pop.
- Strong understanding of theandnbsp;national curriculumandnbsp;andandnbsp;differentiation strategies.
- Excellentandnbsp;classroom managementandnbsp;andandnbsp;interpersonal skillsandnbsp;andmdash; you know how to keep things poetic, not chaotic.
- A validandnbsp;DBS certificateandnbsp;registered on theandnbsp;Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
- Committed toandnbsp;professional developmentandnbsp;and always looking to turn the next page in your teaching career.
