English Teacher - Maternity Cover Location: AccringtonStart Date: November 2026Contract: Maternity Cover - potentially until July 2027Pay: £175 - £271 per day, depending on experience and pay scale Spencer Clarke Group are working with a secondary school in the Accrington area to recruit a qualified English Teacher for a maternity cover position starting in November 2026. The role is expected to run on a long-term basis, potentially through until the end of the academic year in July 2027. We are looking for a qualified teacher who is confident delivering English across KS3 and KS4 and can take responsibility for planning, delivering lessons and assessing pupil progress throughout the placement. The Role Full-time English teaching position Teaching English across KS3 and KS4 Maternity cover starting November 2026 Potential to continue until July 2027 Full classroom responsibilities including planning, marking and assessment Paid to the relevant teacher pay scale at approximately £175 - £271 per day Requirements Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification Experience teaching English within a secondary school setting Strong knowledge of the KS3 and KS4 English curriculum Confident classroom and behaviour management Ability to commit to a long-term maternity cover position Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one ECTs and experienced teachers are welcome to apply, with pay reflecting the ..... full job details .....
