The Opportunity:
Long Term Futures are seeking a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to join a well-regarded secondary school in the Greenwich area from September 2026.
This is an opportunity to teach English Language and Literature across KS3 and KS4, within a supportive and high-performing department. You will be joining a team who continues to promote a strong culture of literacy, creativity, and academic excellence across the school.
Your Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver engaging English lessons across KS3 & KS4
* Prepare students for GCSE English Language and Literature exams
* Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress effectively
* Create a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment
* Support pupils with varying abilities, including SEN where required
* Contribute to departmental planning and whole-school literacy initiatives
* Build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents/carers
Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Degree in English or a related subject
* Experience teaching English in a UK secondary school
* Strong subject knowledge and classroom management skills
* Passion for literacy, reading, and student development
* Commitment to safeguarding and high teaching standards
