GSL Education London Branch are looking for an experienced English Teacher to join a welcoming girls'' secondary school and sixth form in Lewisham. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate English Teacher to inspire young people and make a real difference in a supportive and successful school.
The successful English Teacher will deliver engaging lessons and help students develop confidence and a love for English. This English Teacher role is ideal for someone with strong subject knowledge and a commitment to achieving the best outcomes for students. The school is seeking a dedicated English Teacher who can create a positive learning environment and contribute to the wider life of the school. This English Teacher position offers a long-term opportunity on a part-time basis, working three days a week. Responsibilities- Plan and deliver engaging and creative English lessons.
- Monitor, assess and track student progress effectively.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all students.
- Encourage high standards of behaviour and achievement.
- Prepare students for examinations and assessments.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents and school leaders.
- Contribute to departmental and whole-school activities when required.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
- Previous experience working as an English Teacher in a secondary school setting.
- Strong subject knowledge in English Language and English Literature.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- A passion for helping students achieve their full potential.
- The ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues.
- A commitment to maintaining high standards of teaching and learning.
- An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one.
